Strengthening Exercises to Stabilize the Knees
While cycling is a low-impact exercise, the repetitive motions associated with pedaling can lead to a number of overuse injuries. The more prepared your knees and surrounding muscles are to take on the race, the less likely you are to sustain an injury.
To help strengthen your knees, here are four movements you can do at home to target your quads and hamstrings. You don’t need any special equipment, though you can add weights or resistance bands if you like.
